Ryan Stahl

President & CEO
Ryan Stahl founded Equinox Development with a focus on cultivating lasting client relationships by providing a level of service that is both strategic and detailed. As President & CEO, Ryan is responsible for the overall operations and execution of the company and its many projects. Additionally, Ryan ensures that the overall strategy of the company is aligned with the various market dynamics that impact the Commercial Real Estate industry.

Holding positions with both national and local development companies, Ryan has a diverse background in commercial real estate development. Prior to forming Equinox in 2003, Ryan spent seven years with Opus South Corporation where he developed projects ranging from grocery-anchored shopping centers to mid-rise office buildings & industrial distribution facilities. Thereafter, he spent two years as Senior Vice President with Pelloni Development where he was responsible for the development of multiple, successful large-scale mixed-use developments. He parlayed that knowledge of both small and large development companies into the company that Equinox is today and collectively has been involved in projects that have an aggregate value of over $1.1 billion.

Ryan has received numerous awards over the years ranging from Retail Development of the Year to Game Changer of the Year from the Orlando Business Journal. However, he considers giving back to the community more important than any award received. Throughout the years, Ryan has done so through a broad range of positions at Kid’s House of Seminole, Seminole High School Foundation and the UCF Real Estate Council, while focusing on outward giving to numerous other local and national charitable causes.

Since moving to Central Florida in 1993, Ryan has been a proud resident of Seminole County. He and his wife currently reside in Lake Mary where they have raised their three teenage daughters while being heavily involved within the community.

Amy McCook

Senior Vice President & Partner
Amy McCook represents Equinox Development in the pursuit of acquisition and development opportunities. As Senior Vice President, Amy is responsible for analyzing new opportunities as well as successfully executing on development deals. She has been an integral part of the growth of the company and has overseen dozens of ground up developments of varying complexity and scale. Amy is detail-oriented and hands-on from property acquisition to grand opening while she coordinates a broad range of development activities including site due diligence, research, project management, permitting and tenant development services. Amy excels at cultivating relationships with and garnering the respect of staff at various municipalities in the area and with tenants who do multiple deals with Equinox. All of this contributes to mutually beneficial relationships which result in new growth that benefits the Central Florida community.

Prior to joining Equinox, Amy was a member of Walt Disney Imagineering's Real Estate Development Team. There she was a part of developing and implementing real estate strategy for land holdings at Walt Disney World. Amy traveled the country benchmarking best-in-class retail and mixed-use developments, interacting with world-renowned architects and identifying unique retail concepts all for the conceptual development of a mixed-use project totaling one million square feet. It was while working at Disney that she established a creative foundation, learned the art of placemaking and refined the process of curating retail.

Amy has been recognized as a “Woman to Watch” by the Orlando Business Journal and as a Visionary of Central Florida by a joint committee of Orlando’s ULI, CREW and ICSC.

She is active in the Central Florida community having spent countless hours volunteering and mentoring in addition to having served on numerous boards and committees including: UCF Real Estate Advisory Council, CREW Orlando, Junior League of Greater Orlando, and ICSC Next Gen.

Amy is able to couple her diverse practical experience and high-quality formal education to always deliver above expectations. She has a Masters of Science in Real Estate from New York University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. Amy is proud to call Altamonte Springs home, where she resides with her husband and two young children.

Genny Hall

Senior Vice President & Partner
Genny Hall oversees the management of retailer and broker relationships, in addition to leading all deal negotiations on behalf of Equinox Development. Prior to joining Equinox, Genny spent 16 years as a well-respected member of the brokerage community in Central Florida. During that time, she built an unprecedented network of retailer, owner and broker relationships that have proven integral to her role at Equinox. Her acumen in commercial real estate enables her to find the ideal fit to suit the needs of all parties. She is able to analyze the features of a property and provide the optimum solution.

In her previous role as Managing Director at Colliers, Genny led the retail leasing platform for Central Florida. She completed over $140 million worth of retail leasing transactions for properties ranging from traditional power and lifestyle shopping centers to ground-up retail developments and specialty mixed use projects. In addition to working with both regional and local developers, she represented a number of large, best-in-class institutional clients such as Regency Centers, Crow Holdings, TIAA-CREF, and GE Real Estate.

Genny graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in both Finance and Real Estate. In 2003 she moved to Orlando to begin her career in commercial real estate. She lives in Winter Park with her husband, Shipley, and her two daughters, Marlowe and Adair.

Nicole "Nikki" Carolan, Esq.

General Counsel & Partner
Nikki Carolan is General Counsel overseeing all legal matters involving Equinox Development’s business operations and real estate activities. She is responsible for negotiating the purchase, sale, financing, leasing, and development of all commercial real estate projects. Nikki directs an integrated team allowing for the multi-discipline coordination and expedited review of legal documents while providing the highest level of protection for our partners. She works cooperatively with outside counsel facilitating deal execution and cultivating long-lasting relationships.

Previously a shareholder in Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman’s real estate department, Nikki spent 15 years in private practice prior to joining Equinox. There she gained extensive experience representing landowners and developers while practicing primarily in the areas of commercial real estate, land use and development, government, and commercial real estate litigation.

She is widely recognized as a leader in her field and has earned many accolades including the following: Rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell, The Best Lawyers in America© in the practice area of Real Estate, Orlando Magazine Best Lawyers in practice area of Real Estate and Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in the practice area of Real Estate: Business.

She is an active member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Orlando, a local chapter of CREW Network, serving as President of CREW Orlando in 2020.

She attended the University of Florida for both undergraduate and law school. While attending the UF College of Law, she was a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy and a member of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, graduating with high honors in and receiving the Order of the Coif.

She and her husband, Mike, reside in Winter Park with their two young sons.

Kathleen Gerrits

Chief Financial Officer
Kathleen Gerrits is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all accounting and finance functions on behalf of Equinox Development. Kathleen is responsible for ensuring the proper management and preparation of current financial reports while tracking multiple development projects with related funding, contracts, and construction budgets.

Prior to Equinox, Kathleen started her career in public accounting within Forensic Advisory where she was responsible for conducting forensic investigations, performing risk assessment and monitoring services, as well as performing comprehensive financial statement audits and interim reviews. Kathleen also served in private accounting as the Controller of a midsize construction company where she was responsible for the performance and management of all accounting procedures and financial reporting across multiple construction projects.

She attended Presbyterian College for her undergraduate degree in both Business Administration and Accounting while a member of their NCAA Division 1 women’s lacrosse team. Kathleen then attended the University of Georgia to earn her Master of Accountancy degree.

Born and raised in South Florida, Kathleen now resides in Orlando, FL after spending her early career living in Atlanta, GA.

Daina Todd

Development Manager
Daina is the Development Manager responsible for the successful execution of ground-up development projects. With over a decade in the Commercial Real Estate Development industry, Daina offers a wide range of knowledge and is able to utilize her experience in many facets of the company. Daina works with the developer’s design team in addition to a broad range of consultants to ensure timelines and design standards are met in conformance to the overall development plan. In addition, Daina works alongside the entire Equinox team touching on all aspects of commercial development planning. With her long-standing tenant relations, Daina works closely with the team to ensure Tenant design needs are met and construction timelines are tracked and managed to ensure timely project completions and successful openings for our Tenants. Daina enjoys and appreciates the team collaboration and communication that is required to efficiently and successfully execute a prosperous development that lends itself to the community and economy.

Before joining Equinox, Daina realized there was a need for a tenant representative/liaison and stepped in as the Tenant Coordinator at Unicorp National Developments, a role which was nonexistent at the time. Leading this role, Daina gained valuable and long-standing relationships with national and small tenants alike, becoming uniquely familiar with their specific needs and requirements for each tenant development requirements.

In her down time Daina enjoys being outdoors planting new plants in her garden or tending to her array of plants around her property. She is a mother of two and being a Florida native, she enjoys fishing, boating and beach days with her family.

Kristin Banks

Development Coordinator
Kristin Banks is the Development Coordinator at Equinox Development. She brings over a decade of successful experience in administration, human resources, construction/engineering, and commercial real estate. Focusing on the early stages of development, Kristin is involved in research, marketing, and due diligence of new projects.

Kristin, who is originally from Georgia, moved to Orlando with her husband Brian and two daughters Olivia and Abigail in 2017. Kristin enjoys volunteering at her church and being involved in her daughters’ school where she serves as the PTA President.

Kirsten Davis

Development and Contracts Manager
Kirsten Davis is the firm’s Development and Contracts Manager. Her extensive real estate, development and contracts experience lends itself to each and every deal, where she works tirelessly to ensure a smooth transaction. Her knack for follow-up and organization allow her to be involved in all project aspects. Kirsten works with each person at Equinox, from drafting legal documents including contracts and agreements, reviewing existing leases, project timelines, bids and project deliverables, or even reviewing Due Diligence on new projects and performing research. Kirsten also stays in close contact with Tenants and property managers after construction to ensure a smooth transition and see that any Tenant needs are addressed.

Originally from Chicago, IL, Kirsten spent much of her childhood in the Northeast before relocating with her family to Florida in the early 1990’s. Spending her teenage and adult years in the Orlando area has given her great area knowledge and has allowed her to witness the Orlando area’s growth firsthand. Kirsten attended Valencia Community College for Business Administration and IFREC Real Estate School.

When she isn’t at work, Kirsten enjoys spending time with her husband, son and their two dogs. She keeps herself busy with house projects, refinishing furniture and enjoys volunteering at Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis and Orange County Animal Services.

Lori Fletcher

Legal Assistant
Lori Fletcher serves as the Legal Assistant to our company’s General Counsel, Nikki Carolan. Lori is responsible for managing closings, reviewing and coordinating title, processing contracts, and dealing with a wide variety of legal documents. Lori previously worked alongside Nikki at Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman, P.A., a well-respected Winter Park law firm, for many years prior to joining Equinox in 2021. Lori’s partnership with Nikki, and her extensive experience handling various types of real estate matters, enables her to provide quality assistance with the company’s legal needs on a daily basis.

Lori , who was born and raised in Florida, graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies, and is proud to call herself a Knight! In her free time, Lori can be found enjoying a day with her family by the pool or at Epcot. Many weekends you’ll even find her running a marathon with her twin sister!
